New Delhi (29.07.2024): The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet on July 29 appointed Prabodh Seth (IRS IT: 1989) and Ramesh Narain Parbat (IRS IT: 1989) as new members to the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT). These appointments also signify that in the next round of appointment a 1990 batch officer will come as a third member Currently, Seth is working as Principal Chief Commissioner (International Taxation) whereas R N Parbat is DG (Investigation), Lucknow. Seth and R N Parbat will be succeeding Sanjai Kumar Verma and Ravi Agrawal (IRS IT: 1988) respectively. It may be underlined that the position vice Ravi Agrawal fell vacant after he took over as Chairman of CBDT.ALSO READ:
