BJP fields Union minister and an SC candidate against Akhilesh

1004Lucknow (31.01.2022): The BJP has fielded Union minister SPS Baghel against Akhilesh Yadav from Karhal seat in Mainpuri district. This is the second unreserved constituency on which a Scheduled Caste leader has been fielded by the BJP. Though the constituency has 1.5 lakh Yadav and sizable number of Muslim votes but the BJP fielding a Union minister must have certain plan which prima facie appear to make dent into Dalit votes in the neighbouring constituencies. But the move will restrict the movement of Akhilesh as Baghel is a former SP worker.
