New Delhi (04.07.2024): Carrying a long wish list and demand
for fund, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu arrived New Delhi
today and met Prime Minister Narendra Modi. After taking oath as the CM, this
is his first visit to Delhi to meet the PM and some Union ministers. Before arriving Delhi, Naidu sought reports from bureaucrats
about the status of state roads and highway projects, Amravati Capital
Project, pending irrigation projects and a general report on financial status
of Andhra Pradesh. He will seek additional funds, concessions and tax breaks,
instead of special category status to the state. Sources said Naidu
will seek substantial fund for Amravati and Polavaram Irrigation Project. He is
likely to meet Home Minister Amit Shah, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman,
defence minister Rajnath Singh, Health Minister J P Nadda and others.
