1269Former CBI Special Director Rakesh Asthana (IPS:1984:GJ) was on Monday appointed Director-General (DG) of the Border Security Force (BSF). Presently, he is working as DG, Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) with an additional charge of DG, Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). He will continue to hold the additional charge of NCB. Further, V S K Kaumudi (IPS:1986:AP) was appointed as Special Secretary, Internal Security (SSIS) in the Ministry of Home Affairs till his superannuation i.e. 30.11.2022. Presently, he is working as DG, Bureau of Police Research & Development (BPR&D). Mohammad Javed Akhtar (IPS:1986:UP) was appointed as DG, Fire Services, Civil Defence & Home Guard for a period upto 31.07.2021.
