New Delhi (14.11.2024): The Public Enterprise Selection Board (PESB) on Thursday selected Amitava Mukherjee for the post of Chairman & Managing Director (CMD), NMDC Limited (NMDC); a Schedule ‘A’ Central PSU. A total nine people were interviewed. Currently, Mukherjee is posted as Chairman cum Managing Director (Additional Charge) & Director (Finance), NMDC Limited. Subject to requisite clearances and ACC approval, he will be appointed CMD, NMDC Ltd. It may be underlined that the post of CMD in NMDC has been under the ad-hoc arrangement after Sumit Deb superannuated on 31.01.2023. The senior most Board-member, Amitava Mukherjee, Director (Finance) has been entrusted with the additional charge of the CMD since then.ALSO READ
