• New Delhi (24.06.2022): Notifications of appointments and recommendations issued on Friday are as follows: 
    • Parameswaran Iyer (Retd lAS:1981:UP) was appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer, Niti Aayog for a period ending June 30, 2024. He replaces Amitabh Kant upon completion of his tenure on 30.06.2022.
    • Tapan Kumar Deka (IPS:1988:HP) was appointed as Director, Intelligence Bureau for a tenure of two years. He replaces Arvinda Kumar (IPS:1984:AM) who is retiring at this month-end.
    • Samant Kumar Goel (IPS:1984:PB), Secretary, Research & Analysis Wing (RAW), was given an extension for a period of one year ending 30.06.2023. 
    • The PESB selected Manish Billore for the post of Director (Marketing), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd. He is Additional General Manager - Fertilizer Marketing, Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals Limited
    • Jayanti Prasad (Retd IA&AS:1986) was appointed as Whole Time Member, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI). He is a former Deputy Comptroller and Auditor General (Human Resources and International Relations), Comptroller & Auditor General of India.
    • Himansu Sekhar Khatua was appointed to the post of Director, Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI), Kolkata, on a contract basis. 

  • New Delhi (23.06.2022): Notifications of appointments and recommendations issued on Thursday are as follows:-
    • The central deputation tenure of Amit Kataria (lAS:2004:CG), Joint Secretary, Department of Rural Development, was extended for a period of two years beyond 02.07.2022.
    • The service tenure of Dr Randeep Guleria (Director, AIIMS, New Delhi) was extended for a period of three months w.e.f. 25.06.2022. Following the completion of five years term, Dr Guleria was given the first extension for a period of three years w.e.f. 25.03.2022. He was appointed to the coveted post on 28.03.2017. It may be underlined that the process for the selection and appointment of Dr Guleria's successor is underway. 
    • Mahesh Chandran R, OSD to MoS for External Affairs & Parliamentary Affairs (V Muraleedharan) in the Ministry of External Affairs, was prematurely repatriated on personal grounds with the provision of "extended cooling off'.
    • Amit Kumar Singhal (IRS C&CE:2007), Director, Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), was prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre. 
    • Former Punjab DGP Dinkar Gupta (IPS:1987:PB) was appointed as Director-General in the National Investigation Agency (NIA) till his retirement i.e. 31.03.2024. 
    • Swagat Das (IPS:1987:CG) was appointed as Special Secretary (Internal Security) in the Ministry of Home Affairs for a period of 30.11.2024 i.e. up to his superannuation. Presently, Das is working as Special Director in Intelligence Bureau. He replaces VSK Kaumudi (IPS:1986:AP). 
    • Manish Tiwari (IRTS:1995) was prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre. He is Joint Secretary, MHA.
    • The additional charge of the post of Chairperson (JS level) of Mormugao Port Trust to VR Akkaraju for a period of six months w.e.f. 03.06.2022 or till the appointment of a new incumbent. Presently, Akkaraju is Chairman, New Mangalore Port Trust (NMPT), Mangalore, Karnataka.
    • The Central Deputation tenure of Ms Nigar Fatima Hussain (IDES:1996) was extended for a period of three months beyond 02.07.2022. Presently, she is Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Minority Affairs.

  • New Delhi (22.06.2022): Notifications of appointments and recommendations issued on Wednesday are as follows:

    • Ms Ashima Gupta (IRS 1T:1991) was prematurely repatriated to her parent cadre on grounds of availing promotion in the cadre. She is Financial Advisor (JS level), Khadi & Village Industries Commission (KVIC).
    • The PESB selected Manoj Jain (GM, BEL) for the post of Director (Research & Development), Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL).
    • The post of Deputy Secretary, presently held by Sanjay Kumar (IAS:2008:AGMUT) in the Department of Investment & Public Asset Management (DIPAM) was re-designated as Director as a measure personal to him for a period up to 26.01 .2027.
    • The post of Deputy Secretary, presently held by Ms Pallavi Singh Prakash (IRPS:2008) in the Department of Personnel & Training was re-designated as Director for a period up to 11.04.2026 i.e total tenure of five years under the Central Staffing Scheme.


  • New Delhi (22.06.2022): Ruchira Kamboj (IFS:1987) has been appointed as Permanent Representative of India (PRI) to the United Nations in New York. Kamboj will succeed TS Tirumurti as the Indian ambassador to the UN. Ruchira Kamboj is presently the Ambassador of India to Bhutan. 


  • New Delhi (21.06.2022): Notifications of appointments and recommendations issued on Tuesday are as follows:

    • Rahul Prakash (IPS:2006:RJ) was appointed as Deputy Inspector General in Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) against the existing vacancy for a period of five years.
    • Ms Aswathy S (IAS:2003:OD) was prematurely repatriated to her parent cadre with the provision of "extended cooling off’. She is Deputy Director (Sr.) in the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie.
    • Ruchira Kamboj (IFS:1987) has been appointed as Permanent Representative of India (PRI) to the United Nations in New York.

    • The Public Enterprise Selection Board (PESB) on Saturday selected and recommended Rajeev Kumar Srivastava (Chief Engineer, IRSE) for the post of Director (Projects), Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation (MRVC).

  • New Delhi (17.06.2022): Notifications of appointments and recommendations issued on Friday are as follows:
    • The PESB on Friday selected Rama Manohar’s Rao for the post of Director (Finance), RailTel Corporation of India Ltd (RCIL). Rao is an IRAS cadre officer.

  • New Delhi (16.06.2022): Notifications of appointments and recommendations issued on Thursday are as follows:-
    • The additional charge of the post of Secretary, Department of Pharmaceuticals was assigned to Ms Arti Ahuja (lAS:1990:OR) from 20.06.2022 to 24.06.2022 during the period of absence on leave of Ms S Aparna (lAS:1988:GJ),  Secretary, Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals. 
    • The PESB selected Bharathan S (ED, HPCL) for the post of Director (Refineries), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL). 
    • The additional charge of the post of CEO, MyGov to Abhishek Singh (IAS:1995:NL) for a period of six months w.e.f. 28.03.2022 as an interim arrangement or till the joining of a regular incumbent as CEO, MyGov. Presently, Abhishek Singh is working as CEO, National e-Governance Division (NeGD).
    • Anil Nautiyal (IFS:2004) was appointed as Chief Liasion Officer (CLO) in the Project Office of the South Asian University (SAU), New Delhi under the Ministry of External Affairs for a period of three months. Nautiyal replaces AVS Ramesh Chandra (IFS:1989).
    • The central deputation tenure of Mrs Usha Padhee (lAS:1996:OR), Joint Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation, was extended for a period of three months beyond 16.07.2022.
    • Vikram Singh Rana (IRTS:2000) was appointed to the post of Director in the Ministry of Earth Sciences (Delhi) for a period up to 08.05.2024.
    • The tenure of Anil Ranga (IOFS:1998) under the Central Staffing Scheme was extended for a period up to 05.05.2023. Ranga, Director in the Department of Health & Family Welfare, was recently appointed as Director in Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).
    • The tenure of Ms Anju Bhalla (CSS), presently working as Joint Secretary in the Department of Science & Technology, was extended beyond 15.08.2022 till her superannuation i.e. upto 30.11.2022.
    • The additional charge of the post of Chairman, Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA) to KN Raghavan (IRS C&IT:1990) for a period of six months beyond 30.03.2022 or thill the post is filled on a regular basis.
    • KA Senthil Velan (IPS:2004:TN) was repatriated from Intelligence Bureau to parent Cadre with immediate effect under the provision of para 6.5 of IPS Tenure Policy.
    • The tenure of the additional charge of the post of Development Commissioner, Visakhapatnam Special Economic Zone (VSEZ) to DV Swamy (IAS:2001:OR) was extended for a period upto 17.09.2022. Presently, Swamy is working as Development Commissioner, Cochin SEZ.
