In power corridors Avinash Kumar Srivastava's (IAS:1982:UP) name has been doing rounds for the post of Secretary, Department of Agriculture and Co-operation. The outgoing Secretary, Siraj Hussain (IAS:1979:UP) is scheduled to retire on January 31, 2016.
Currently Srivastava is serving in the same department in the rank of Special Secretary.
