Indianmandarins has reliably
learnt that the incumbent Maharashtra DGP Subodh Kumar Jaiswal (IPS:1985:MH)
may be named as next Delhi Police Chief. Contrary to several media reports the MHA
is not keen for extension in service of Amulya Patnaik (IPS:1985:UT); the outgoing
Delhi Police commissioner who is scheduled to retire on January 31, 2020. Reportedly, the MHA has sought the
concurrence of Election Commission (EC) days ahead of the announcement of assembly
polls in Delhi. If some top sources are to be
believed the MHA may send a panel of names for appointment as CP in case EC may
would not agree on Jaiswal’s name.

Contrary to several media reports the MHA is not keen for extension in service of Amulya Patnaik (IPS:1985:UT); the outgoing Delhi Police commissioner who is scheduled to retire on January 31, 2020.
