The first indication of this came last Friday when he tore into the Chandrababu Naidu administration for what he called the alarming rise in corruption.
State observers believe that he may be angling for accommodation in the Congress Party or YSR Congress ahead of 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
One of his comments on a TV channel the other day seems to suggest that he prefers YSR Congress. Criticising Kalyan, actor-turned-politician, he praised YSR president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, who, he said, had been fighting hard on people's issues and made his MPs sacrifice their Lok Sabha seats.
