New Delhi (29.10.2024): Days ahead of the retirement of the Director General, Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) the New Delhi administration is expected to announce the succession plan. The incumbent DG Zulfikar Hasan (IAS: 1988: WB) is all set to hang boots on 31.10.2024 while the critically important 2i/c (Joint DG) post has been lying vacant for last ten months thus necessitating the key appointments. The retirement of DG assumes significance also because over 300 hoax bomb calls have been reported this month ringing the alarm for the aviation sector and its operations.
