In a minor reshuffle of IPS cadre, the West Bengal government made Siddh Nath Gupta (IPS:1992:WB) the new ADG and IGP of the Intelligence Bureau (IB). Vishal Garg (IPS:1999:WB), who was the additional CP -V of Kolkata Police was made the new IGP of the IB. Sanjay Chander (IPS:1987:WB), who was the ADG and IGP IB, was made the new ADG Counter Insurgency Force (CIF) with additional charge of ADG (Establishment). Kallol Ganai (IPS:2000:WB), the IGP Murshidabad Range was named as the IGP of Jalpaiguri Range. He will look after Alipurduar, Jalpaiguri and Coochbehar districts also. Ganai replaced Rajesh Kumar Yadav (IPS:2002:WB), who was made DIG Cyber Crime of the state CID. Dr Pranav Kumar (IPS:2003:WB), the DIG training-cum-principal PTC, Barrackpore, was made the new DIG of Murshidabad Range while Dipankar Bhattacharyya (IPS:2003:WB) came in his place. Bhattacharyya was the DIG Armed Police Durgapur.
