New Delhi (04.09.2025): As Indianmandarins reported on August 20, 2025, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has appointed Vivek Chaturvedi (IRS C&IT: 1990), Principal Director General, Directorate General of Vigilance, & Chief Vigilance Officer, CBIC to the post of Member, Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC).The post fell vacant upon the retirement of Vivek Ranjan (IRS C&IT: 1990), the incumbent Member (Tax Policy & Legal), on August 31, 2025. Later this year, three more Board members, including the Chairman, are set to retire.ALSO READ

New Delhi (04.09.2025): As Indianmandarins reported on August 20, 2025, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has appointed Vivek Chaturvedi (IRS C&IT: 1990), Principal Director General, Directorate General of Vigilance, & Chief Vigilance Officer, CBIC to the post of Member, Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC).
