Power corridors are abuzz that former CAG Vinod Rai (Retd IAS:1974:KL) has been playing a critical role in the empanelment of 1983 batch IAS officers as Secretaries in the Govt of India. Reportedly, the Committee of Secretaries is about to conclude its job which may shortly be considered by the Govt of India. The committee comprises of four former IAS officers including Rai.
Reportedly, 46 officers were taken up by the committee of former secretaries for consideration out of which approx 32 are expected to find names on the empanelment list.
