The public sector headhunter on Thursday picked M Venkatesh for the post of Managing Director, Mangalore Refineries and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL). Subject to requisite clearances Venkatesh may replace H Kumar, the outgoing Managing Director retiring in May 2018. Currently Venkatesh serves as Director (Refineries), MRPL.
Altogether four members appeared before PESB for the interview namely; Sridhar Patra (Dir (Fin), THDC); M Venkatesh (Dir (Refineries), MRPL); Munukutla Vasuki Ravi Someswarudu (ED, GAIL) and Rahul Bhardwaj (ED, IOCL).
Venkatesh joined MRPL on 7th January 2015, post superannuation of Vijay G. Joshi. Prior to this he was Group General Manager in-charge of Refinery at MRPL, Mangaluru.
