Lucknow (31.03.2022): With the new government in the saddle in Uttar Pradesh, bureaucratic changes are likely to be carried out with some officers retiring while some others may get new assignments. But this will happen only after the code of conduct is eased out on April 15 after the Legislative Council elections. The list is apparently ready.

Sources said that at least 10 district magistrates (DMs) are likely to be reshuffled and one DM in Poorvanchal may even be suspended. Revenue Board chairman and Agriculture Produce Commissioner Alok Sinha (IAS: 1986: UP) is retiring on April 30. Additional chief secretary M B S Rami Reddy (IAS: 1988: UP) and Resident Commissioner Prabhat Kumar Sarangi (IAS: 1988: UP) are also retiring on April 30. Four Additional chief secretary rank officers may be sent on shunting for being in touch with Samajwadi Party leaders for a possible change in the government that has not happened.

Police commissioners of two districts may change and DIG rank officers in 8 districts will certainly be changed. Santosh Kumar Singh in Bulandshahr (IPS: 2009: UP), Sudhir Kumar Singh (IPS: 2009: UP) in Agra, Amrendra Prasad Singh (IPS: 2010: UP) of Sonabhadra and Sripati Mishra (IPS: 2009: UP) of Deoria. Varanasi (Rural) officer is of senior rank so he will be adjusted somewhere else. Some transfers are likely in Noida and Kanpur commissionrates.
