New Delhi (11.08.2025): The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the extension in the temporary upgradation of five officers of various services and cadres. The names and posts of these officers are as follows:-

1. Extension in upgradation of the post of Director, Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration from the level of Additional Secretary to that of Secretary held by Sriram Taranikanti (IAS: 1992: TR) for a period up to 31.07.2026.
2. Extension in upgradation of the post of Secretary, Union Public Service Commission from the level of Additional Secretary to that of Secretary held by Shashi Ranjan Kumar (IAS: 1992: TR) for a period up to 03.09.2026.
3. Extension in upgradation of the post of Joint Secretary & Financial Advisor to the level of Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor in the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports held by Sanjay Rastogi (IAS: 1991: OR) for a period up to 11.08.2026.
4. Extension in upgradation of the post of Joint Secretary & Financial Advisor to the level of Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor in the Ministry of Women & Child Development held by Nitishwar Kumar (IAS: 1996: UP) for a period up to 30.09.2026.
5. Extension in upgradation of the post of Joint Secretary to the level of Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology held by Amitesh Kumar Sinha (IRAS: 1997) for a period up to 09.08.2026.
