Lucknow (31.01.2024): Prashant Kumar (IPS: 1990: UP), the
favourite IPS officer of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has been appointed as
the officiating Director General of Police of the state. Kumar is the fourth
successive officiating DGP of the state after incumbent DGP Vijay Kumar (IPS: 1988: UP) retires
