New Delhi (19.01.2022): A larger political combination seems to be emerging in UP assembly poll. Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav got a shot in arm when West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee agreed to join his poll campaign. Mamata Banerjee will address a virtual rally of Samajwadi Party in Lucknow on February 8. When NCP chief Sharad Pawar developed proximity with Akhilesh Yadav, it became obvious that Mamata will also join this axis, and now, this political combination has taken shape. Though Mamata will campaign for UP assembly elections, this seems to be part of her larger planning for Lok Sabha poll 2024. She has national ambitions and she is aspiring for a coalition against BJP, where she will be the pivot of the larger combination. Mamata’s campaign in Lucknow will script a futuristic political alignment of SP, NCP and TMC at the national level for 2024 Lok Sabha polls where more like-minded political parties can be accommodated. Thus Mamata will address Akhilesh Yadav’s rally and pave the way for futuristic political game plan.
