Unique extension to a Director HR of a key CPSE creates buzz

1570New Delhi (10.04.2023): The uniquely crafted extension order of the service accorded
to the Director (HR) in a Maharatna Central PSU drew everyone’s attention recently.
The concerned ministry wrote an email in the late evening of the last date of completion
of service informing the Board that his five years’ tenure as the Director
Human Resource was extended for another three months or till his retirement
this year subject to ACC approval. It was also claimed that in due course, the
extension would be duly ratified by the ACC. Over 20 days have passed but ratification
still awaits. Though ACC approval takes time but a section of key officials consider it unique as the ministry took a
call at the eleventh hour.
