Geneva (15.09.2023): United Nations Conference on Trade and
Development (UNCTAD) Secretary-General Rebeca Grynspan expressed her appreciation
for Rohit Kumar Singh (IAS: 1989: RJ), Secretary of Consumer Affairs, Food and
Public Distribution for his participation at the seventh session of the
Intergovernmental Group of Experts on Consumer Protection Law and Policy, held
in Geneva, Switzerland, on July 3 and 4, 2023. Appreciating the role of Singh, Rebeca Grynspan said, “The
meeting was a success, and I am delighted that UNCTAD remains at the forefront
in the implementation of consumer protection policies for the achievement of
the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. I would also like to congratulate
you on your participation in the session for the Opening Plenary, and for the
interesting initiatives your country is undertaking. I am particularly
appreciative of your decisive support for the work of UNCTAD and I look forward
to our continued cooperation strengthening consumer policies around the world.”
