NEW DELHI (02.06.2026): The Centre has appointed Saurabh Vijay (IAS: 1998: MH) as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the India AI Mission. Vijay has been given the additional charge alongside his role as CEO of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI).The post in the India AI Mission had remained vacant since the departure of former CEO Abhishek Singh (IAS: 1995: NG) from MeitY. Meanwhile, the government has appointed Priyank Bharti (IAS: 2001: PB) as the chairperson of the Online Gaming Authority. Bharti is also serving as director general of the National Informatics Centre (NIC).
