Ranchi (04.09.2024): Champai Soren joining the BJP has not gone down well with the tribal leaders of the BJP especially two former chief ministers – Babu Lal Marandi and Arjun Munda. Munda lost Lok Sabha election from Khunti but wants to remain in the reckoning for CM’s post by contesting Assembly poll. Marandi was brought back to the party fold after lots of persuasion and with another former chief minister Champai Soren in the party making things even more difficult. They are more worried about BJP preferring turncoats for the top job.
