As Indianmandarins had reported first on January 04 T S Tirumurthy (IFS:1985) on Friday appointed to the post of Secretary (Economic Relations) in the Ministry of External Affairs. Tirumurthy replaces Vijay Keshav Gokhle (IFS:1981) who virtually vacated the post after he was named as S Jaishankar's successor as Secretary, External Affairs.
Tirumurthy is currently posted as India's High Commissioner to Kuala Lumpur.
