Three union secretaries retiring today, Youth Affairs also falls vacant

6988New Delhi (31.01.2022): Three union secretaries are scheduled to superannuate today whereas Union Secretary of Youth Affairs Ms Usha Sharma repatriates to cadre state (Rajasthan) on the request of the state government. Food Processing Secretary Pushpa Subramanyam (IAS:1985:TG), Union Secretary of the Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals Yogendra Tripathi (IAS:1985:KN) are retiring today whereas Union Secretary of Department of Financial Services Debashish Panda (IAS:1987:UP) is also attaining the superannuation age today. The Centre has already announced Ms Anita Praveen (IAS:1989:TN) as the successor of Ms Subramanyam. Reportedly, in view of the Budget Session of the Parliament, the Centre is expected to give an extension to Panda. Further, Praveen Kumar Srivastava (lAS:1988:AM), Secretary Coordination (Cabinet Secretariat), Arun Kumar Jha (IES:1985), Special Secretary in the Department of Agriculture and Ms Neelam S Kumar (ICAS:1984), Principal Chief Controller of Accounts, Central Board of Direct Taxes, is also retiring today.
