Bhopal (14.08.2023): Is the BJP still popular enough to win the next Assembly elections and the Congress fail to catch the imagination of people in Madhya Pradesh. The way people are joining the BJP suggests so as three retired IAS officers and 1200 workers of the Congress joined the BJP in Madhya Pradesh on August 13, 2023.
Months ahead of Assembly elections, retired bureaucrats Kavindra Kiyawat, S N Singh Chouhan and Raghuveer Shrivastava joined the BJP in the presence of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and state party president V D Sharma in state capital Bhopal. Two former MLA candidates also joined the BJP.
The Congress is trying every bit to return to power and for that Kamal Nath and his son Nakul Nath joined the programme of Dheerendra Shashtri aka Bageshwara Baba in Chhindawara who woes to make India a Hindu Rashtra. Priyanka Gandhi was recently in MP and accused the government of 50 per cent ki sarkar on the lines of Karnataka which apparently worked for the Congress.
Political analysts feel that with the presence of strongest cadre of RSS in Madhya Pradesh, it is really a big challenge for the Congress to win but taking Congress lightly may prove to be a mistake.
