New Delhi (12.08.2023): Cop-turned politician Rajeshwar Singh, BJP MLA from Sarojininagar, Lucknow, was felicitated by Chief Justice of India Dhananjay Y Chandrachud for working to empower Divyangjans. Singh was felicitated during a programme organised by Tamana, an organisation working for physically and mentally challenged children in New Delhi.

A small video clip was played to showcase Singh’s efforts towards empowerment of disabled in his assembly area during the event. The chief guest and the organizer of the programme, Tamanna Sangathan president and Padma Bhushan awardee Shyama Chona appreciated the unprecedented work done by Singh for empowerment of the disabled people in Sarojininagar in a short span of nearly 18 months.

Rajeshwar Singh said that providing assistive devices to "Divyangjans" and giving them emotional support is the biggest achievement of his life. He reiterated his pledge to provide all possible help to the disabled. He said the award is inspiration, encouragement, and blessing for him on the path of public service.
