Thiruvananthapuram (02.09.2024): The appearance of BJP National president J P Nadda in the three-day meeting of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) at Palakkad in Kerala from last Saturday is not to speak but to listen. Nadda, general secretary (organisation) BL Santosh and joint general secretary (organisation) Shiv Prakash getting the audience of Mohan Bhagwat was simply to coordinate forthcoming Assembly elections in a better manner before the new incumbent replaces him or them. They also appraised Bhagwat about what and where things have gone wrong. Nadda seems to have bitten more than what he could chew when he had said that during the Lok Sabha elections that the BJP does not need the RSS anymore and is capable of handling its affairs independently. The results embarrassed Nadda and internal reports suggest his statement antagonised ground level RSS workers which Nadda too was once. Many coordination meetings took place one such resulted into appointment of Ram Madhav as election in-charge of Jammu and Kashmir. Madhav may make a comeback as BJP general secretary. Nadda was there to take a message for the party.
