DoPT, Home Ministry, Finance Ministry and Intelligence Bureau are housed in North Block. Coincidentally, bosses of all these wings have the common name of Rajiv/Rajeev. The outgoing Union Home Ministry Rajiv Mehrishi (IAS:1978:RJ) once headed the Finance while he was Finance Secretary. His successor, Rajiv Gauba (IAS:1982:JH) is already deployed as Home Secretary designate (OSD, MHA). The IB chief Rajiv Jain (IPS:1982:JH) has already been heading the country's internal intelligence wing. Rajiv Kumar (IAS:1984:JH) is set to complete his stint as Secretary of the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) and Additional Secretary, DOPT.
Though Rajiv Kumar & Rajeev Mehrishi are about to complete their stint in North Block, a few weeks this situation may not be there. However, the Rajiv/Rajeev factor still has its importance.
