Sometimes unlearning becomes the order of the day that helps learning properly or in other words sometimes destruction becomes obligatory for the development. So Prime Minister Narendra Modi appears to have been doing all kinds of division and destruction but people of the country are taking them hand in hand. This is called creative destruction for some as it has produced the National Democratic Alliance not only unprecedented but unimaginable electoral success by the divider in chief.

But what has Modi divided in all these years that he was adorned with the title of divider in chief ever since he has been at the helm specifically in the past five years. Actually he has been able to change the ecosystem of governance in Delhi. Political analysts say that he has actually divided homogenized caste structure in the country forcing gathbandhan to bite the dust, he has also divided religion as a unit to vote for, he divided families voting together under the dictate from one person, he divided communities following mindlessly the dictate of religious heads, he divided the traditional mindset for the goods and he divided the biased value system. But he divided all this to benefit India and he succeeded to a larger extent by doing so.

But what for all this division was? Like a true Gujarati, he has come up with a perfect Gujarati Thali where there is division but there is a unity and larger good. It clearly means everything for everyone in the country with country in brackets. There was a blend of nationalism, comfort given to poor rural women with subsidized LPG cylinder, LED lights all across, solar light to tab renewable energy, electricity supply to the remotest villages with 90 percent electrification, toilets in millions to save women from embarrassment and humiliations, bank account to poor workers and direct money transfer benefits for their empowerment, crop insurance for farmers, MUDRA loans to again millions of people and heath care facilities to such poor who were unable afford costly treatment and many more. This has also divided poor from their caste and religious identity.

Modi has divided rather demolished the clichéd narratives of people being driven like heard on their social, religious, linguistic and cultural identities for votes without providing them fruits of growth and development.
