Dr Chatrapati Shivaji (IAS:1986:MH) has been appointed as Executive Director, Asian Development Bank (Manila) for a period of three years. Currently he serves as CMD, Small Industries Development Board (SIDBI). In his new stint Shivaji will replace Umesh Kumar (IAS:1983:RJ) at ADB HQ in Manilla.
An Engineer by profession, Dr Shivaji has also added many financial qualifications to his credit and has vast experience of working in the areas related to finance. He did his MBA and got a doctorate in strategic bank management.
Prior to joining as SIDBI CMD on March 02, 2015 he served as Principal Secretary (Expenditure) Govt of Maharasthta, CMD of the Maharashtra State Finance Corporation and Development Commissioner (Indistries). In addition he handled IMF desk in the Union ministry of finance and had a stint in New York with the export promotion department.
