Services of YK Misra discontinued on Annual Day; IRCON CMD post falls vacant

New Delhi (29.04.2023): Two and a half years ahead of completion of term of service as CMD of IRCON International Limited the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) on Friday approved the proposal of the Ministry of Railways for non-confirmation of the balanced tenure of Yogesh Kumar Misra.

Misra started his stint as CMD on 04 September 2021 and was supposed to continue till his retirement on 31 October 2025.

On completion of one year as CMD his services required ACC confirmation by October 2022 but in the meanwhile various issues cropped up that finally led to non-confirmation of service 30 months ahead of superannuation.

Its the irony that the CMD stands relieved on the day (29.04.2023) that marks the Raising Day (Annual Day) of IRCON
