IRCON, NIIFL and AYANA sign an MoU for the solar energy sector

PSE Mini Ratna Ircon International Ltd (IRCON) has signed an MoU with NIIFL and Ayana Renewable Power Private Ltd (AYANA) to explore and collaborate on opportunities in the solar energy sector.

 

According to the MoU, NIIFL and IRCON will evaluate strategic partnerships across infrastructure projects and have agreed in-principle to identify, bid and execute solar energy projects through joint ventures/consortium arrangements. The partnership will further consider suitable opportunities for solar energy production for Indian Railways as they intend to increase the share of renewables in their overall energy mix. This collaboration will enable the execution of renewable energy projects at scale by utilizing the complementary strengths of all partners.

Ircon International Limited (IRCON), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with RZD International LLC, a subsidiary of state-owned Russian Railways Company to explore opportunities for joint development of railways and other infrastructure projects in Asia, Africa and Latin America.

 

As per the MoU, both parties have agreed to form a joint Indian – Russian working group. This group will look into ways of developing a strong partnership to coordinate, plan, and subsequently implement projects in the field of railways and other infrastructure not only in India but also in countries of mutual interest.

 

The MoU was signed by Parag Verma, Chief General Manager (Business Development), IRCON International Limited and Sergey Stolyarov, Provisional Director-General of RZD International LLC.

 

Commenting on the MOU IRCON CMD S K Chaudhary said, “IRCON has been constantly looking to establish a strong partnership with the companies, wherein we can mutually benefit from our expertise. This MOU is a step towards building a long term business relationship which will help us to enhance our presence in different geographies’’.

IRCON contributes Rs 15.5 crore more to PM CARES

IRCON has come forward to provide additional financial assistance of Rs 15.5 crore to PM CARES Fund for fighting COVID-19 which is in addition to Rs 5 crore assistance announced earlier. With Company’s total contribution to PM-CARES Fund now amounts to Rs 20.5 crore including the contribution of Rs 51 lakh by the employees.

IRCON CMD S K Chaudhary said, “Covid-19 is one of the biggest challenges that our country is facing and it has been unprecedented in its severity. We at IRCON, has always been at the forefront in times of need for the country. The biggest need at this time is to be united and strengthen the hands of the Government of India. We as a responsible company have been assessing the situation and have decided to enhance our contribution.” IRCON, through the years has been partnering with the Government towards nation-building.

PM CARES: IRCON extends support of rupees five Crore to fight COVID-19

IRCON International Limited (IRCON) has come forward to provide a financial assistance of Rs. 5 Crore to Prime Minister CARES Fund through CSR fund and employee contribution. IRCON CMD S K Chaudhary said that due to Covid-19, the current situation in India is unprecedented and this amount would be utilized towards fighting COVID-19. He added that, IRCON stands strongly by the society in these testing times.

He further added that the world is facing the menace of COVID-19, of which India is no exception. The world over, this pandemic is causing a constant blow to the economies and the very fabric of human lives and there should be every effort to thwart a socio-economic collapse. He also urged all the employees of the IRCON to make a very humble beginning, at this crucial moment, by donating one day’s salary, to begin with.

The certificate distribution program held on 22.02.20 at S.M.S Public School, Khora Colony, Ghaziabad, showcased the vibrant CSR partnership between Ircon International Limited,  Bisnouli Sarvodaya Gramodyog Sewa Sansthan (BSGSS) and the District Administration in skilling and empowering the marginalised women in Khora through  sustainable livelihood projects.  It is a remarkable  achievement  that with Ircon’s generous  support, BSGSS enabled  over  88%  of the previous batches of beneficiaries  to become self-reliant  either by job placement  or setting up micro-enterprises  of their own post  completion of  training in trades like  Cutting and Tailoring, Beauty Culture, Computer Operation and English Speaking.

Mr. S.K. Chaudhary (CMD- IRCON) along with Mrs Seema Chaudhary, graced the function as Chief Guest  and distributed certificates to the trainees in the presence of Dr. Subhash Chand (Executive Director – IRCON), Mr. Parag Gupta, IAS, (Adviser – NITI Aayog) , Mr. Aditya Prajapati (SDM, Ghaziabad),  Prof. Mrs. Seema Pandey, Mr. Anas Ali Khan, Ms. Ritu Arora, Mr. Pratap Bhanu Singh  and Mr. Raghu Partap Pareekh.   All office bearers of the NGO, including Ms. Nandita Bakshi, CEO, Sh. Lokendra Sharma (President), Anup Kumar (Director-Operations) were present. The event was covered extensively by Doordarshan.

While interacting with participants Mr. S.K. Chaudhary   spoke about in detail the importance of  Ircon’s CSR projects and underlined the need for inculcating hard work, dedication, values, entrepreneurial competencies and capacity building etc among beneficiaries  for their sustainable development. 

All trainees happily shared their experience during the training and the initiatives undertaken post completion of training programmes for income generation with the support of the NGO.

CSR Initiative: IRCON distributes appliance to divyangs under

Ircon International Ltd in association with ALIMCO distributed aids and appliances to various ‘divyangs’ in Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh on December 28, 2019. CMD IRCON S K Chaudhary and Mrs Seema Chaudhary inaugurated the camp by the lighting of lamps.

Subhash Chand, Executive Director and S C Negi, GM/Elect IRCON, Alok Yadav, Chief Development officer, Shivendar Singh, District Handicapped Officer and officers of ALIMCO were also present on the occasion. Under this camp 177 beneficiaries were distributed aids and appliances like Wheel Chair, Hearing Aids, Motorized Tricycle, Crutches, MSIED Kit, Rollator, Walking Sticks and CP Chair.

During the camp, Mr Chaudhary and others distributed the aid and appliances to specially abled people. The beneficiaries were happy to get these appliances as these appliances would help them to face challenges of their lives in a better way. The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude towards CMD/IRCON for the aid and appliances.

IRCON registers a profit of 21% in second quarter of current fiscal

IRCON International Ltd has announced its second quarter results for 2019-20 financial year. The company has recorded revenue from operations of Rs 1161 crore, a growth of 21 per cent from the corresponding year that was Rs.962 crore. Increase in revenue from operations is due to increase in domestic revenue.

Profit after tax has increased to Rs.87.70 crore in the present quarter as compared to Rs.83.57 crore in the same quarter last financial year. EBITDA has also increased to Rs146 crore in quarter ended September, 2019 as compared to Rs.133 crore in the corresponding period FY19. Order Book of the company stands at Rs.32,393 crore comprising of Rs.30,333 crore of Railway projects.

IRCON registers a jump of 13.47% in operating income

In its 43rd Annual General Meeting held on September 03 in New Delhi IRCON CMD S K Chaudhary addressed shareholders informing about achievements of the company for financial year 2018-19.

 

Chaudhary said, "The operating income has registered an increase of 13.47% from Rs 3,891 crore in 2017-18 to Rs 4415 crore in 2018-19. The profit before tax and profit after tax for the year under review were Rs 615 crore and Rs 445 crore respectively registering an increase of 16.04% and 14.69% respectively over the previous year.”
