IRCON registers a jump of 13.47% in operating income

In its 43rd Annual General Meeting held on September 03 in New Delhi IRCON CMD S K Chaudhary addressed shareholders informing about achievements of the company for financial year 2018-19.

 

Chaudhary said, "The operating income has registered an increase of 13.47% from Rs 3,891 crore in 2017-18 to Rs 4415 crore in 2018-19. The profit before tax and profit after tax for the year under review were Rs 615 crore and Rs 445 crore respectively registering an increase of 16.04% and 14.69% respectively over the previous year.”

Government owned Infrastructure and transport giant IRCON International Limited has signed a memorandum of understanding with Ministry of Railways to set the targets for the company for the current financial year 2019-20.

 

An IRCON Press release issued on Tuesday, June 11, in New Delhi said that the MoU was signed by IRCON CMD S K Chaudhary on the company’s behalf and Secretary Railway Board Sushant Kumar Mishra on behalf of the Ministry of Railway at a simple event held at Rail Bhawan in the Capital.

IRCON Declared its Financial Results for the FY 2019-20

IRCON International Limited announced its financial results for the fourth quarter and year ended 31 March 2019. The company has recorded revenue from operations of Rs. 4,798 crore in FY19, a growth of 19 % over FY18 which was Rs. 4,024 crore. Increase in revenue from operations is mainly due to increase in domestic revenue.

 

It achieved an all-time high turnover in FY19. Total Revenue for the year ended 31 March 2019 is Rs. 4,990 crore which is 18% higher as compared to Total Revenue of Rs. 4,213 crore for the corresponding period ended 31 March 2018.

 

Highlights:

  • EBITDA increased by 8% to Rs. 690 Crore for the year ended 31 March 2019 as compared to Rs. 637 crore for year ended 31 March 2018.
  • Profit After Tax has increased by 10% to Rs. 450 Crore for the year ended 31 March 2019 as against Rs. 409 crore for the corresponding period in FY18.
  • Railway projects remained the focus area where the company has achieved revenue of Rs. 3,758 crore with a growth of 29% over year ended 31 March 2018 of Rs. 2,905 crore.
  • Earnings per Share (EPS) stands at Rs. 47.85 for the year ended 31 March 2019 as compared to Rs. 41.83 for the corresponding period in FY18.
  • Trade Receivables of the company came down to 51 days as on 31 March 2019 as compared to 61 days in corresponding period ended 31 March 2018.
  • Total dividend for FY19 will be Rs. 21.545 per equity share i.e. 215.45% of face value comprising of interim dividend amounting to Rs. 10.72 per equity share and final dividend recommended by the Board at Rs. 10.825 per equity share.

Shyam Lal Gupta (ED, IRCON) was on Wednesday selected for the post of Director (Projects) IRCON International Limited. Subject to requisite clearances and ACC approval he may replace Deepak Sabhlok, the outgoing Director (Projects) retiring October this year.

IRCON celebrated its 43rd Annual Day ‘Srijan’

IRCON International Ltd. celebrated its 43rd Annual Day on 28th April 2019 in a function organized at Airforce Auditorium, Subroto Park, New Delhi. Vinod Kumar Yadav (Chairman, Railway Board), Vishwesh Chaubey (Member Engineering, Railway Board), S K Chaudhary (CMD, IRCON) inaugurated the event by the lighting of lamps. Deepak Sabhlok (Director, Projects), Mukesh Kumar Singh (Director, Finance) and Yogesh Kumar Misra (Director, Works) and many senior officers and ex-officers of Railway Board and other organizations were also present on the occasion.


Speaking during the event, Vinod Kumar Yadav (CRB) praised IRCON for its remarkable achievements in the year 2018-19 and wished that it would play a lead role in the infrastructure development of the Indian Railways in the forthcoming years.

 

Vishwesh Chaubey said that IRCON’s contribution in the project of national importance was exemplary and shows the highest degree of commitment and engineering excellence of its engineers.

 

IRCON CMD S K Chaudhary attributed the all-round success of the company to its team and thanked the Railway Board for reposing its faith on the capability of IRCON. He said that the company was committed to further accelerate the growth by preparing itself for future challenges in the construction sector.

 

This year IRCON named its Annual Day Event as ‘Srijan’; a Sanskrit word which means- creation, construction which is synonymous with the core business of IRCON which creates and develops world-class infrastructure projects across the globe.
