New Delhi (08.02.2022): The NaMo administration on Tuesday effected Secretary-level appointments. The list goes as follows:

• Sanjay Malhotra (IAS:1990:RJ) was appointed as Secretary, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance vice Debashish Panda (IAS:1987:UP). Currently, Malhotra is Chairman and Managing Director, REC Ltd.
• Manoj Ahuja (IAS:1990:OR) was appointed as OSD, Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. He will take over as Secretary, Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare upon the superannuation of Sanjay Agarawal (lAS:1984:UP) on 31.03.2022. Currently, he is Chairman, Central Board of Secondary Education, Ministry of Education.
• S Kishore (IAS:1989:WB) was appointed as Chairman, Staff Selection Commission (SSC) in the rank and pay of Secretary to Government of India by temporarily upgrading the post and keeping the Recruitment Rules of the post in abeyance. Currently, he is working as Special Secretary, Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
• Alkesh Kumar Sharma (IAS:1990:KL) was appointed as Secretary (Coordination), Cabinet Secretariat. Presently, he is Special Secretary. Cabinet Secretariat.
• Ms. Arti Ahuja (IAS:1990:OR) was appointed as Secretary, Department of Chemicals and Petro-Chemicals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers. She is Additional Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
• P Daniel (IDES:1989) was appointed as Secretary, Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary to the Government of India. He is Additional Secretary, CVC.

Further, two senior IAS officers presently working in the rank of Special Secretary were elevated (in-situ) in the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India as a measure personal to them:

• Mukhmect Singh Bhatia (IAS:1990:JH), Director General, Employees State Insurance Corporation, Ministry of Labour and Employment.
• Ms. Meeta R Lochan (IAS:1990:MH), Member Secretary, National Commission for Women.
