The gossip has been doing round the corners which is something IAS Vs IAS. One Secretary and an Additional Secretary (who is close to the Minister as well) are not getting along. Both officers are from the same cadre, yet they are pulling in opposite directions. The AS has been in the Ministry for long years and feels he knows more than his Secretary who has been there for just a few months. However, the Secretary's performance has been good making it difficult for AS to dislodge her. The AS is said to have even met Cabinet Secretary P K Sinha when he did not get along with the current Secretary's predecessor and repeatedly asked for a change for he didn't want to work with her.
