Indianmandarins has reliably learnt that the government has rejected the proposal of Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan for the continuation of services of Joint Secretary, Security (Parliament). The incumbent Yogesh Deshmukh (IPS:1995: MP) is set to complete his tenure for central deputation. Sumitra Mahajan had recommended a two-year extension beyond 07 years. In the backdrop of the Govt's previous decision on the extension beyond 07 yrs for more than eight IAS and IPS officers, power corridors have been abuzz with speculations about the equation between NaMo and the Lok Sabha Speaker. There are many who believe that the NaMo administration had already honored Sumitra Majan's choice by approving her recommendation to appoint Deshmukh for the coveted post on 11th March 2016 vice Ajay Anand (IPS:1992: UP).
