New Delhi (06.11.2023): Heeralal Samariya (Retd IAS: 1985: TG), former Informer Commissioner, has been appointed as Chief Information Commissioner of the country. He is India’s first Dalit CIC. The top post of the transparency panel was lying vacant after Y K Sinha’s term ended on October 3. At present, there are two Information Commissioners in the Commission.
