New Delhi (14.10.2024): Additional Director General of Indian Coast Guard S Paramesh has been appointed as the new chief of the maritime force by the Centre on Monday. Paramesh, who has been serving as the acting Director General since the passing of his predecessor, Rakesh Pal, will officially assume his duties on October 15.An alumnus of the National Defence College, New Delhi, and Defence Services Staff College, Wellington, he has commanded major ICG vessels, including the Advanced Offshore Patrol Vessel Samar and Offshore Patrol Vessel Vishwast.
