Indianmandarins has learned that the DVC chairman's post which has been lying vacant for the past two years may be awarded to Power Grid ED R N Singh. In the absence of a regular chairman, NTPC CMD Gurdeep Singh has been holding the additional charge of DVC Chairman since October 2018. The post was advertised in the third week of June 2020 to be filled on a deputation basis through Search-cum-Selection Committee (SCSC). Reportedly, the SCSC on 11 September 2020 held selection interviews and recommended RN Singh’s name which is now expected to be cleared by the ACC.
