The Government of Andhra Pradesh has appointed Subhash Chandra Garg (Retd IAS:1993:RJ) as Advisor to Chief Minister (Resource Mobilisation) in the rank of Cabinet Minister. Garg, former Finance Secretary, sought VRS after NaMo administration abruptly shifted him (lateral appointment) from Union Finance Ministry to the Ministry of Power in July last year. On completion of three months as mandatory period w.e.f. submission of VRS application Garg walked away from IAS on August 31, 2019.
