1360The CBI has arrested IAS officer Rajiv Ranjan along with a retired bureaucrat Itrit Hussain Rafiqi for their alleged involvement in Jammu and Kashmir arms licences case. The agency confirmed arrests of Itrit and Rajiv. It is alleged that senior J&K bureaucrats received bribes for illegally issuing arms licences to non-residents in violation of rules between 2012 and 2016. The investigation agency registered two cases in alleged irregularities in December 2019 for issuing around two lakh arms licences from different districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
