New Delhi (30.04.2026): RailTel Corporation of India has announced that it has secured a major domestic work order from the Directorate of Education, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, for setting up computer laboratories and supplying laptops in government schools across the capital.
The company disclosed the development under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. As per the official communication, the project involves the supply, installation, commissioning, and comprehensive maintenance of equipment required to establish computer labs in Delhi government schools. The contract also includes five years of maintenance support, ensuring long-term operational reliability and service continuity.
The total value of the order stands at ₹13,84,12,700 (including taxes), highlighting RailTel’s growing role in supporting digital education infrastructure in India. The work order was received on April 29, 2026, and the project is scheduled to be executed by April 29, 2031.
RailTel confirmed that the contract has been awarded by a domestic entity and does not fall under related party transactions. The company also clarified that its promoter or promoter group does not have any interest in the awarding entity.
This order strengthens RailTel’s presence in the education and digital infrastructure segment and aligns with the broader government push toward technology-enabled learning in public schools. The project is expected to enhance access to digital resources for students and support the modernization of classroom infrastructure in the national capital.
