New Delhi (21.08.2025): RailTel Corporation of India Ltd has secured two significant work orders valued at approximately Rs 50 crore, according to a recent company announcement. The new contracts have contributed to a positive sentiment for the stock, with shares of RailTel trading higher on Thursday.
The first order, from the Kerala State Information Technology Mission, is for the operation and maintenance (O&M) of State Data Centers (SDC). The contract, valued at Rs 34,99,85,628 (excluding tax), is for a period of five years and is scheduled for completion by August 18, 2030.
Additionally, the company has received a work order from the Higher Education Department, Government of Odisha. This contract, worth Rs 15,42,08,471 (including tax), involves the design and development of CMS-based bilingual websites for colleges under the department. The project is expected to be completed by February 19, 2026.
Following the news, RailTel's shares were up over 1.95% at Rs 366.40 on the BSE during Thursday's trading session. The stock has gained 2.19% over the past five days.
