R K Verma assumed the charge of the post of Secretary, Railway Board yesterday. A 1980 batch officer of Indian Railway Services of Engineers Verma served as Adviser (Public Grievance) to the MoS for Railways. An alumnai of IIT, BHU (B. Tech in Civil Engineering) pursued his M Tech (Structural Engineering) from IIT Delhi. He brings with him a wide range of experience in railways. Prior to his assignment as AdPG he served in various Railway zones; Southern, North-East Frontier Eastern and Western including Indian Railways Institute of Civil Engineering, Pune in various capacities.
