After the superannuation of CRPF DG Prakash Misra (IPS:1977:OR) and Delhi Police Commissioner Bhim Sain Bassi (IPS:1977:UT) on February 29, Praveen Dixit (IPS:1977:MH) will be the senior most serving IPS officer in the country on March 1. Dixit is Maharashtra DGP and will superannuate on July 31 this year.
