Jaipur (10.06.2025): Rajasthan DGP Utkal Ranjan Sahoo (IPS: 1988: RJ) has been appointed as chairman of Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) who will remain in the office up to June next year. The retirement age of RPSC chairman is 62 years. The appointment of Shahu as RPSC chairman has given way for the appointment of new state DGP. Sources say that the Rajasthan government is considering picking up a full time DGP duly approved by UPSC through the proper process. Among the top contenders whose name have been sent to UPSC included Rajeev Kumar Sharma (IPS: 1990: RJ), Sanjay Agrawal (IPS: 1992: RJ), Anil Paliwal (IPS: 1994: RJ) and Anand Shrivastava (IPS: 1994: RJ).
