Chandigarh (22.12.2021): To include the incumbent officiating DGP Sidharth Chattopadhyaya of Punjab in the list of probable names to be discussed by UPSC, it has postponed the meeting for empanelment of officers for the post of Punjab DGP.The meeting was postponed on the insistence of the Punjab Government for making September 30, 2021, as the cut-off date for eligibility of officers which was October 5. The next date of the meeting would be conveyed later. The meeting would have deliberated on the names of three officers from the list of 10 recommended by the state government.
