problem-of-being-lalu-prasad-bihar-elections-part-01 Rashtriya Janata Dal supremo Lalu Prasad has to labour hard these days to keep his old humorous stance in frequent TV appearances and news conferences. Though his laconic claims about his supremacy and tart remarks against rivals continue to regale audiences, they also tend to give away and expose his shaken confidence. That is because he knows better than others that a significant percentage of Yadavas of Bihar are no longer willing to work for his family's prosperity.  According to the National Election Study ( NES) 2014 conducted by Lokniti of the Centre for the Study of Developing Societies, the Yadavas, like other OBCs, have shifted in significant numbers to the BJP. While the NES post-poll survey projected a figure of 18 -19 percent of the Yadav voters having shifted to the BJP in the 2014 Bihar parliamentary elections, our reports from Bihar villages put the shift at 50 per cent for the forthcoming assembly polls.
