New Delhi (01.12.2022): Sudhansh Pant (IAS: 1991: RJ) assumed charge as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways on Thursday early morning. The New Delhi establishment had appointed him as OSD on October 19, 2022. Prior to assuming charge at the Centre, he was working in the cadre state (Rajasthan).Having taken over as OSD, Pant would equip himself to take over the baton from Sanjeev Ranjan (IAS:1985:TR) on February 01, 2023, as the new Union Secretary in the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways and may have a fairly long tenure of over four years up to February 2027 i.e. till superannuation.
