PFC invests CSR fund in a school for marginal sections

pfc-invests-csr-fund-in-a-school-for-marginal-sectionsNew Delhi (03.02.21): As part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR), PFC has lent financial support of ₹3 crores to the construction of stilt plus two-storied School Building of Dr K.B. Hegdewar School premises at Bambolim in Goa. The school is dedicated to meet the educational requirement of the marginal sections of North Goa.
Goa CM Dr. Pramod Sawant inaugurated the construction activities at the school in the presence of PFC CMD Ravinder Singh Dhillon.
Among the dignitaries present on the occasion were Antonio Fernandes (MLA, St. Cruz Constituency, Goa), Rajeev Sharma, Chairman, EESL & former CMD, PFC, Kunal, IAS, Secretary (Energy), Govt. of Goa,  Praveen Kumar Singh, Director (Commercial), PFC and R. Murahari, Executive Director (CSR), PFC  and others.
The fund will be utilized for building classrooms, laboratories, a multi-purpose hall, faculty rooms, and toilets for children. The beneficiaries of the project are the school children of the local populace. A significant number of children studying in this school are from the economically weaker sections of society and the majority is from SC/ST/OBC category.
The PFC's CSR project of constructing a school building with all necessary facilities for the benefit of school children in Dr. K.B. Hegdewar School is also aimed at meeting the needs of educational infra development in Goa.
PFC has been doing a yeoman's job in Goa for the past six years as part of its CSR programs to train the youths of the beautiful state in useful vocations for gaining good jobs. It also goes beyond its call of duty to arrange jobs for the boys and girls trained by the corporation.
